From the Reader: Fiction. Some love it, some don't some thrive with it. All readers can relate to the one fictional world that you simply want more of. The books have ended, the story plot finished, but you know there is so much more to the fictional world you have fallen in love with. This book captures that essence perfectly using humor, excellent characters and a bit of sadness to show you the world of true fandom.
Best With: Pomegranate seeds helped enhance this novel, they are sweet, slightly sour and tough to get to! It reminded me of our lead character, very reserved from the outside but bursting with life, color and complexity within! If you have never had pomegranate before please look up how to get at the seeds, the juice can stain, use water.
Recommend to: Young Adult fans, Harry Potter lovers, young readers, best friends and introverts.
Ideal reading spot: If you do not have a dorm room available to you, your cozy bedroom will do. Light a candle, brew some tea and cozy up!
Category: Sassy, funny and real this book is a great read to brighten your day and provide some giggles along the way. Pure Sunlight it is.
On the Pages: We follow the lead character Cath and her twin sister Wren as they attend their first year of college. During their childhood and early teens they were both Simon Snow fans (picture a Harry Potter type of novel series), with everyone else. But as they grow older Wren has left that life behind and is fully embracing college, while introverted Cath cannot seem to let it go and continues her own Simon Snow fanfiction page. But college is not a good place for an introverted writer and she must adapt to eclectic roommates, persistent boys, wild sisters and tough professors.
Finale: I absolutely adored this book and wanted to jump into the pages. Love what you love and stay true to your passions, but be open to the good people around you.
