"Lily and the Octopus" - Steven Rowley

"Lily and the Octopus" - Steven Rowley

Initial Response: Salty & Sweet

First Sentence: "It's Thursday the first time I see it." - Steven Rowley

From the Reader: I love my dog. I enjoy that he never judges me, always loves me and is the BEST listener who never interrupts. This story is for those with a creative heart and a tender soul. Loosing anything in life is hard and our coping mechanisms can surprise us. I discovered I truly enjoyed this book after reading the last page. Sometimes it made me terribly sad, or honestly, confused, but it wrapped up so nicely combining fantasy, hope and resolution.

Best With: Gold fish snacks! Go with the cute fish theme. Also a good strong tea in the PERFECT cup to go with one of the cutest characters.

Exclamation: Both quirky and delightful!

Recommend to: Dog/Pet lovers, humous friends who enjoy deep conversation, anyone missing their dog and avid readers.

Ideal reading spot: By any bit of water you can find, make sure its a sunny day and you have time to enjoy the book peacefully and laugh out loud with the relatable humor.

Category: Clear Skies. It combines the pang of mourning with a new perspective of healing. Its so well balanced you will be smiling with nolstalga.

Reading Level: High School and Up.

Finale: Reach out to people, love unconditionally and be weird.
