Why hello there! My first lifestyle post, wish me luck!

Just when you think your life cannot get busier.....it always does. I think it will always surprise me until my final days. I keep referencing myself to Paddington lately, my situation is not as life altering or furry, however similar in the barest of ways (see what I did there) In one week I found myself finding a new apartment and accepting a job offer. 7 days ago I did not anticipate either of these happening. Paddington was uprooted and now so am I; new home, new work family.

I know change is for the best and I do my best to embrace it, however I struggle with the transition time, the logistics for these changes to take place. Give me a week or two to adjust and I will agree "that all turned out better than expected!" but this is still so fresh and new.

I must remember to be as calm and kind as my favorite bear as well. If only I liked marmalade.

Now that I am embracing these entire lifestyle changes (new job, city apartment) I am taking this as an opportunity to also give attention to my creative uplifting hobbies. I love my books and I also enjoy creating with painting, writing or just doodling on any available surface. So as everything is swirling around me right now I am going to use it as a catalyst to create more as well.

To start this journey I am taking some time today to focus on me. It is the perfect rainy day and as Padding would say it is truly chucking it down, I adore it. I am taking these stolen moments to embrace my changes and find the inspiration, motivation and excitement out of it. I have always wanted to write a children's book, so why not bring one of my ideas to life!

I hope to get some posts up soon. For now here is an image of my donut and one of my current reads that fits so nicely with my theme of life "Big Magic" by Elizabeth Gilbert. Its my second time through it, post soon to follow.

Enjoy your rainy day!
